How to Use a Sponsor Campaign with Your TapKat Sweepstakes
Introducing TapKat’s newest feature, Sponsor Campaigns! This exciting tool is a great way to:
Give your sponsors and partners exposure and the opportunity to do good in the community while gaining new customers,
Re-engage your donors and encourage them to donate again (at no cost to you),
Build credibility for your organization and fundraising initiatives,
Raise more money for your cause!
With Sponsor Campaigns, you can lean into the relationships you already have with community partners like businesses, other nonprofit organizations, influencers, and more. In this blog post we’ll look at what exactly a Sponsor Campaign is, how to set one up (hint: it’s super easy!) and explore some of the possibilities this new tool presents for your fundraising sweepstakes.
What is a TapKat Sponsor Campaign?
The Sponsor Campaign allows a corporate sponsor, partner nonprofit, influencer, or other type of sponsor to make a secondary marketing offer to sweepstakes donors. This would be done in exchange for the sponsor providing some significant contribution to the sweepstakes fundraising effort. Examples would be:
Underwriting the cost of the grand prize,
Donating the grand prize,
Donating a flash contest prize,
Sending an email blast,
Paid social media promotions,
Some other significant contribution for the sweepstakes.
The benefit to the nonprofit is that the Sponsor Campaign feature offers a significant incentive for a sponsor or partner to participate in promoting the sweepstakes through various marketing channels.
The benefit to the sponsor or partner is the opportunity to reach the sweepstakes donors with a secondary marketing offer which could convert those donors into customers. This additional exposure of the sponsor or partner provides significant “brand polishing” benefits, positioning the sponsor or partner as a contributor to the nonprofit’s community.
What is a Sponsor Campaign like for the donor?
When you have a Sponsor Campaign running with your TapKat sweepstakes, the donor will enter by making a donation as usual. However, once they’ve completed their transaction, they will receive an offer from the sponsor on the web page after they make a donation, as well as in their emailed receipt. Your sponsor will provide the image, and you can easily upload it from your TapKat dashboard. It is linkable, and when the donor clicks through, they can take advantage of the offer quickly and easily.
This image may communicate anything, including:
A special offer or coupon from their online or in-person store,
A special downloadable piece of content,
An invitation to a live event,
Or something else.

How to Set Up a Sponsor Campaign for Your TapKat Sweepstakes
Setting up a Sponsor Campaign is very easy and quick. Here’s what you’ll need from your sponsor:
A description of what exactly they are offering your donors,
A large image that promotes the sponsor campaign (this will go on the thank you page which donors see after they successfully complete a transaction),
A small image that promotes the sponsor campaign (this will go in the emailed receipt),
A Sponsor Campaign URL (where the sponsor wants donors to land when they click on the offer image).
Once you have all these things, log into your TapKat dashboard and navigate to Menu > Sponsor Campaigns > +Add Sponsor Campaign. You will be prompted to name the campaign, set start and end dates, include a URL, and upload images. Be sure to hit the blue “save” button at the bottom of the page! Once you do, you’re all set—your Sponsor Campaign will go live on the date you set it, and there’s nothing further you need to do.
Imagine the Possibilities with Your Sponsor Campaign
The Sponsor Campaign feature opens up many exciting possibilities for savvy nonprofits looking to raise funds. Think about your board members, their business connections, and any partners you may already be working with. What might they be able to provide your fundraising campaign? And in exchange, what kind of offer might really benefit their business?
One nonprofit partnered with a bike shop during their sweepstakes to offer a 20% discount on all products during a certain time period. In exchange, the bike shop sent out a dedicated eblast to their mailing list. It was a win-win-win: The nonprofit received more donations, the bike shop made extra sales, and the donors had the chance to enter an exciting sweepstakes, support a cause they love, and make an exciting, discounted purchase.
Your goal with the Sponsor Campaign is to excite donors and incentivize them to stay engaged with your fundraising sweepstakes. The sky is the limit and it’s the perfect avenue to get creative and see what’s possible!
